The Family Centre is an optimal space to run family related services and activities in a beautiful and well resourced centre where everyone can feel safe and empowered.
NBC Family Centre is located on 25 Goldsworthy Rd Corio and is a collaboration between Northern Bay College and local community partners in Corio, including Barwon Child Youth & Family, Bethany, City of Greater Geelong and Community Hubs Australia.
All Family Centre activities are facilitated, ‘free and friendly’, delivered onsite in our new purpose built early-years facility on Goldsworthy campus. Our aim is to build strong foundations and supporting the ‘First 1000 days’ (from conception to 2 yrs.) and the ‘Next 1000 days’, from birth to school age, strengthening parent confidence and supporting families to give their children the best start in life.
Our term calendar “What’s on @ the Family Centre” includes contacts for our daily playgroups, parent groups, multi-cultural supports, ‘drop-in’ Family Support workers, as well as supporting parent access to education, workplace pathways, and support to access childcare and sessional kindergarten (4 yr. olds). We are committed to a Family Centre where all children, parents and families can feel welcome, safe and empowered.
