Our Inclusive School

We are dedicated to maximising student engagement and fostering growth in both learning and personal development by prioritising the implementation of inclusive education practices. Our commitment ensures that every student has equal access to opportunities for success, promoting a supportive and dynamic learning environment where all can thrive.

The Individual Educational Needs of students are closely monitored and reviewed by the Inclusive Practices and Stages of Learning teams at each campus. Collaborative learning goals are developed in partnership with students, and reasonable adjustments to support their needs are identified and agreed upon.

Disability Inclusion funding enables our school to provide:

  • Specialist staff, including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, and speech pathologists.
  • Assistive technology and other specialized equipment.
  • Professional development for teachers to deepen their understanding of each child’s unique disability or additional needs.
  • Specialist teachers and dedicated education support staff, such as teacher aides.
  • Tailored programs designed to integrate with the school’s curriculum and environment.
  • Small group, targeted interventions to address specific needs.
  • Modified and highly supported classrooms when required.

Students with disabilities at Northern Bay P-12 College have full access to all courses, facilities, and activities offered by the school. The school’s buildings and grounds are fully accessible to ensure that every student can participate in all aspects of school life.
