VET

Northern Bay College students can elect to complete a VET (Vocational Education and Training). Normally VDSS (VET delivered to Secondary Schools). VDSS counts towards a VCE program

VET is

The Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority has developed scored assessment for most VET programs, so students can also include VET programs in their ATAR.

VET programs prepare students for their future working lives and is best suited to students who:

  • are thinking of obtaining an apprenticeship or traineeship after school.
  • would like to gain an industry qualification
  • enjoy a more hands-on learning environment
  • want to keep their options open for completing Year 12
